Approximately 70 percent of the German population has opposed the provision of social assistance called "citizen's benefit" (Bürgergeld) to refugees from Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that this information was reflected in a survey conducted by the INSA Institute for Social Research at the request of the "Bild" newspaper.
According to the survey results, only 17 percent of respondents believe that Ukrainian refugees living in Germany should receive Bürgergeld. 66 percent of respondents are against maintaining these payments.
Also, 62 percent of Germans believe that men fit for military service who came to Germany from Ukraine during the war should return to their homeland. Only 18 percent of respondents disagree with this opinion.
The survey was conducted on October 16–17 and 1003 people participated.
