Devlet Bahçeli, Chairman of Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), commented on the presidential elections held in Northern Cyprus.
Modern.az referring to Turkish media, reports that he viewed the election results with suspicion.
Bahçeli stated that voter turnout in the election held in Northern Cyprus was very low.
"The fate of the Turkish Cypriot community cannot be represented with such low turnout. Even if the election results are announced by the election board, the Northern Cyprus parliament must convene urgently, declare the election results and the return to federation unacceptable, and decide to join the Republic of Turkey", he noted.
It should be recalled that Tufan Erhürman, a supporter of the federation, won the presidential elections.
