Protest actions continue in Georgia. Protesters mainly express their dissatisfaction with the results of the municipal and parliamentary elections. The last protest actions were held on October 18. As a result, a total of 27 participants were identified, 14 of whom were administratively detained, and administrative proceedings are being conducted against 13 individuals.

According to Arzu Naghiyev, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Azerbaijan-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Working Group, in his statement to Modern.az regarding the issue, previously actions were held concerning parliamentary elections, claiming that the elections were not conducted properly and there were legal violations:

"However, it was unequivocally proven that this is not the case. Currently, the parliament continues its activities. The second issue concerned municipal elections. Municipal elections were held in 64 regions. At that time, they claimed legal violations and took to the streets. However, the Central Election Commission once again announced its decision, stating that the "Georgian Dream" party won by collecting 70% of the votes. In opposition to this, as a result of steps taken by the West, they continue the previous processes. Therefore, the Georgian government is taking steps against these illegal protest actions".

The committee chairman finally noted that the main issue here is political:

"The participation of leaders of the European Union, as well as other organizations, in the rallies indicates that the main objective is political".

However, Elvin Taghiyev, an Azerbaijani activist living in Georgia, stated that the protesters consist of pro-European activists:

"Those participating in the actions are members of pro-European political parties. Naturally, not everyone may be a supporter of any particular party. However, despite this, they are protesting because they do not support the current “41” government (the "Georgian Dream" Party-ed). In 2020, the protesters did not consider the results of the parliamentary elections legal. They have been continuing their protests for over 300 days, demanding that snap parliamentary elections be held again. They are calling for a democratic election. The current regime is demanded to change to prevent the economic and political crisis in the country".

E. Taghiyev said that there are also Azerbaijani youths among the protesters: "Although this has not become widespread, there are also young people among us who are actively interested in the processes".
