US President Donald Trump stated that Kyiv does not strike deep into Russia with American weapons, but only uses European missiles. He added that the US does not consent to the use of US weapons against Russia's rear regions.
Modern.az reports that "The Wall Street Journal" published information about this.
"I think they're using European missiles or missiles from other places, but not ours. I don't control what they do. But I do control our missiles. They are not firing our missiles".
Donald Trump also denied reports regarding the lifting of restrictions in the US on Ukraine's use of “some long-range missiles” for striking against Russia.
Finland's Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, however, stated that Trump should allow Ukraine to use American long-range “Tomahawk” missiles to hit targets deep within Russian territory.
In an interview with “Politico”, Orpo warned that Russia poses a “permanent threat” to European security and called on Trump to provide Ukraine with the weapons needed for self-defense and to convince Vladimir Putin to come to the negotiating table.
"Putin only believes in force. If we want to stop the war, even if we are not stronger than Russia, we must be on the same level", Orpo stated.
