US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has departed for Israel.
Modern.az reports that, according to the State Department, the purpose of the visit is to support the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan put forward by President Donald Trump to end the conflict in Gaza.
Following meetings in Israel, Marco Rubio's visit to Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan is planned for October 26–30. In Kuala Lumpur, he will participate in the summit of leaders of member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
In Korea, the Secretary of State is expected to participate in the economic summit of leaders of Asian and Pacific Rim countries. President Donald Trump is also expected to participate in both summits.
