An explosion of an unmanned aerial vehicle of unknown origin was recorded in the western region of Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred in the Burli district, in an area far from residential settlements. Modern.az reports that the country's Ministry of Defense issued a statement regarding this.
According to official information, the drone's remains were discovered at the scene, no injuries were sustained, and no material damage was recorded.
“An inspection is being carried out at the scene together with authorized state bodies, and the causes of the incident and the origin of the object are being determined”, - the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan stated.
The agency added that airspace control has been strengthened, and additional measures are being taken to prevent air objects that may illegally cross the state border.
According to the Ministry's information, consultations are also being held with foreign partners regarding the matter. Inquiries have been sent to them regarding the potential affiliation of these unmanned aerial vehicles.
