Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg shared an interesting episode from a meeting he held with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his memoirs.
According to Modern.az, he writes that the meeting took place in Ankara and the agenda included tense topics - operations in Syria, relations with NATO allies, and the Kurdish issue.
“The atmosphere was tense. But Erdoğan suddenly changed the tone of the conversation and asked me: "Do you like corn?" I replied "yes". A few minutes later, roasted corn was brought into the room on a large plate. We ate them at the table, with our hands. Then roasted chestnuts were brought. There were eight to ten of us, we were all eating, and corn kernels and salt were falling to the floor,” Stoltenberg wrote.
