London police have arrested three individuals suspected of assisting Russian intelligence services,
Modern.az reports that Scotland Yard police released information about this.
“Today, three men aged 48, 45, and 44 were arrested in West and Central London. Searches are being conducted at locations in West London and another address.
All three individuals were arrested on suspicion of assisting a foreign intelligence service in violation of Section 3 of the 2023 National Security Act and taken to a police station in London. The country of origin for the alleged crimes is Russia,” the statement said.
Dominic Murphy, head of the police counter-terrorism department, noted that law enforcement agencies are recording an increase in the number of intermediaries recruited by foreign intelligence agencies.
