Iranian authorities want to help normalize the situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
According to Modern.az, citing Press TV, this was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday.
"Foreign Minister Araqchi stated that Iran is ready to help de-escalate tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which have further intensified after recent deadly border clashes," the report said.
Araqchi expressed his concern about the situation and called on the parties to continue dialogue with the support of influential regional states. Araqchi and Dar also discussed bilateral relations.
