Polluted air kills 161 people every day

In Iran, 161 people die every day due to air pollution.

Modern.az reports that Iran's Deputy Minister of Health, Alireza Raeisi, stated this.

It was noted that due to air pollution, 58,975 people died during the year, meaning approximately 7 people every hour. The daily damage caused by air pollution to the Iranian economy is considered to be equal to 47 million dollars.
