A three-party delegation from the Turkish Parliament's National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission has departed for İmralı Island to meet with Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the PKK terrorist organization.
Modern.az reports that, the technical details of the meeting were announced a day earlier.
The delegation includes Hüseyin Yayman from the Justice and Development Party, Feti Yıldız from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), and Gülistan Koçyiğit from the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM).
All logistical and technical details of the meeting were planned by the National Intelligence Organization. The delegation's travel to İmralı Island by helicopter was ensured.
According to information, audio and video recordings of this meeting, considered historic, will be made, but will not be shared with the public. The Justice and Development Party stated that, taking into account the public sensitivity created by the İmralı visit, no photographs from the meeting will be published.
