US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll is currently discussing a possible peace agreement on Ukraine with Russian representatives in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Modern.az reports that "CBS News" disseminated this information, citing two American officials and two diplomatic sources.

According to sources, Driscoll met with a Russian delegation on the evening of November 24, and the next round is scheduled for November 25.

“Driscoll is expected to hold another meeting with the Russian side during the day. The topic is the discussion of the peace process and advancing negotiations as quickly as possible,” the source noted.

The composition of the Russian delegation is currently not disclosed. Information about other US officials participating in the meeting is also not provided.

"Financial Times" also confirmed CBS's information. According to the publication's sources, Driscoll is also expected to meet with Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, in Abu Dhabi. However, it is unknown whether Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington held a trilateral meeting.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated on November 24 that no meeting with the US was planned for this week, but Moscow is “always open” to talks.

In addition to the secret meetings in Abu Dhabi, a new peace plan by the Trump administration was discussed on November 23 in Geneva among representatives of the US, Ukraine, and European countries.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the talks “the most productive to date.” Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Administration, who led the Ukrainian side, also assessed the meeting as “very productive.”

"Financial Times" writes that after the Geneva meeting, Trump's plan, which initially consisted of 28 points, was reduced to 19 points.
