Russia's President Vladimir Putin plans to seize the entire territory of Ukraine.

Modern.az reports that US intelligence has reached this conclusion. The information was disseminated by the "Reuters" agency, citing six sources.

However, Putin does not intend to stop there. Intelligence believes that Putin aims to regain control of certain parts of Europe that once belonged to the Soviet empire.

According to the information, reports from US intelligence agencies significantly differ from the position articulated by US President Donald Trump and his team conducting peace talks on Ukraine. While representatives of the Trump administration claimed that Vladimir Putin wanted to end the conflict, intelligence data indicates the opposite.

One of "Reuters'" sources stated that the latest of these reports dates back to late September of last year, and it also refutes claims that Putin poses no threat to Europe.

US intelligence assessments remain unchanged since Russia launched its war against Ukraine in 2022. According to sources, these conclusions also align with the position of European leaders and European intelligence agencies. They believe that Russia may not be content with Ukraine alone and could lay claim to the territories of former Soviet republics, including NATO member countries.

Mike Quigley, a Democratic member of the US House Intelligence Committee, stated in an interview with Reuters, "Intelligence has always said Putin wants more." According to him, European countries are fully convinced of this threat, with Poland taking a particularly firm stance on the matter, while the Baltic countries are concerned that they could be the next target.
