Clashes have begun between Syrian government forces and the YPG.
Modern.az reports this, citing the "Al-Arabiya" channel.
The fighting mainly took place in the city of Aleppo, inhabited by Kurds, in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh districts.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated that the YPG attacked government personnel at checkpoints in these areas. According to the authorities, as a result of the firing, one person was killed, and two government forces and three civil defense workers were wounded.
The group calling itself the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), however, blamed Damascus for the attack. They stated that as a result of the attack using mortars and heavy weapons, two people died and five civilians were wounded.
