Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.
Modern.az reports that the leaders discussed the current international situation, including Ukraine.
According to the information, Tokayev confirmed his commitment to fully implement the agreements reached during his visit to Washington in November of this year.
The Kazakh leader emphasized the complexity of resolving the Russia-Ukraine war, where the territorial issue holds a dominant position and requires concessions from both sides, taking into account the real situation "on the ground".
He noted that Astana therefore calls on all parties to demonstrate patience, flexibility, and professionalism and to continue the search for a peace formula. Tokayev added that although Kazakhstan is not a mediator, it is ready to provide a platform for negotiations in a spirit of goodwill, if necessary.
