Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh announced that the persons on board had died as a result of the crash of a plane returning from an official visit to Turkey.
Modern.az reports that he wrote about this on his social media account.
"It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the death of the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, and his companions," the Prime Minister noted.
It should be noted that there were 5 people on the plane.
Among those who died were Lieutenant General Fituri Qaribil, Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces, Major General Mahmud Katiwi, Mohammed Asaavi Diab, advisor to the Chief of the Libyan General Staff, as well as Mohammed Omar Ahmed Mahjoub, photographer for the General Staff's Media Office.
