Russia's Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, was summoned to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presented with a note of protest.

Modern.az reports that this was stated by Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She noted that the ambassador was presented with a note of protest expressing deep indignation over statements made on a Russian state television channel.

"The note emphasized that the statements by TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov constitute an unacceptable encroachment on the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, an act of hostility, and a gross violation of the fundamental principles of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia".

Russian TV presenter and journalist Vladimir Solovyov had previously stated that "the loss of Armenia is not in Russia's interests, and Russia should conduct a special military operation not only in Ukraine but also in other territories within Russia's zone of influence, disregarding international law".
