Former Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili was arrested right in the courtroom and sent to Penitentiary Establishment No. 12 in Rustavi.

Modern.az reports that local media reported this.

It was stated that during the session held at the Tbilisi City Court, the former head of government was found guilty, specifically on charges of legalizing illegal income on a large scale.

According to the information, immediately after the court's verdict was announced, Irakli Garibashvili was taken under strict guard to Prison No. 12, located in Rustavi.
