The U.S. Department of Justice has released millions of internal documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case to the public.

According to Modern.az, the documents indicate that the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein maintained connections with prominent figures in political, financial, academic, and business circles for many years.

It is noted that Epstein was re-arrested in 2019 on charges of sexual exploitation of minors and human trafficking, and was found dead in his prison cell in New York that same year. The death was officially recorded as a suicide. The Department of Justice warned that the released materials might contain fake images and unverified claims, while also stating that thousands of documents revealing the identities of victims were removed from the list. Todd Blanche, the second-highest official in the Ministry's leadership, emphasized that individuals named in the documents cannot be automatically accused of a crime.

One of the most prominent individuals mentioned in the documents is U.S. President Donald Trump. It is reported that Trump maintained social relations with Epstein in the 1990s and 2000s. The documents also include photographs of Trump with several women and alleged notes attributed to him. In the 2021 trial concerning Ghislaine Maxwell, who was part of Epstein's inner circle, it was alleged that Trump flew on Epstein's plane several times. Trump, however, denied these claims, stating that he cut ties with Epstein in the early 2000s.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton is also named in the documents. According to the information, Clinton communicated with Epstein after leaving office and traveled on his plane several times. Clinton denies any involvement in illegal activities and has expressed regret for his association with Epstein.

Prince Andrew (Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor), a former member of the British royal family, is also among the figures mentioned in the documents. He was stripped of his royal titles due to his association with Epstein and settled a lawsuit brought by one of Epstein's victims in 2022.

The materials also contain various correspondences and photos related to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, billionaire businessman Elon Musk, former Secretary of the Treasury and former President of Harvard University Larry Summers, Federal Reserve System leadership nominee Kevin Warsh, U.S. President's wife Melania Trump, “Microsoft” founder Bill Gates, prominent banking figure Jes Staley, British politician Peter Mandelson, and healthy lifestyle blogger Peter Attia.

Most of the individuals named deny being aware of Epstein's crimes and state that their connections were formal, social, or philanthropic in nature. The U.S. Department of Justice, however, emphasizes that the documents are investigative materials and that each fact will be legally evaluated separately.
