The US has urged its citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately.
Modern.az reports that the press service of the US Embassy in Iran has advised citizens to consider exiting via land routes towards Armenia or Turkey if possible.
“Prepare an exit plan for your trip that does not rely on US government assistance”, – the embassy's statement said.
Furthermore, the diplomatic mission warned of potential disruptions to internet services within Iran. It was noted that US citizens are at high risk of detention in Iran, and the display of a US passport or having ties to the US could be grounds for such arrest.
