Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about the assassination attempt against General Alekseyev.
Modern.az referring to foreign media, reports that Lavrov stated that the assassination attempt against Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces demonstrates Kyiv's readiness for continuous provocations aimed at disrupting negotiations for the settlement of the conflict.
“I do not intend to make any predictions. This is not within my authority; the decision will be made by our country's leadership. This act of terrorism once again confirmed that the Zelensky regime is focused on constant provocations aimed at disrupting the negotiation process,” – Lavrov emphasized.
On the morning of February 6, Svetlana Petrenko, official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee, reported an assassination attempt against General Alekseyev. According to the investigation, an unknown individual fired several shots at the general in a residential building located on Volokolamsk Highway in Moscow and fled the scene.
