The US wants to increase its influence on the situation in Iran.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that US President Donald Trump's administration has decided to impose additional tariffs on goods from countries trading with Iran.
According to the document, the US Secretary of State and Secretary of Commerce can determine the tariff rate on goods from countries trading with Iran. A 25% additional tariff was given as an example.
It is noted that this step was taken to reduce tensions in US-Iran relations and to limit Iran's harsh policy against violent protests.
