Commemoration ceremonies dedicated to the dear memory of Rufat Asgarov, Adigozal Bashirov, Ismayil Mehdiyev, and National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariz Ibrahimov, who were martyred for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, were held.
First, the graves of our martyrs were visited, bouquets of flowers were laid on them, and their memories were respectfully honored.
The Ministry of Defense informed Modern.az that employees of the ministry, public representatives, schoolchildren, family members of the martyrs, their relatives, and comrades-in-arms participated in the events organized at the Hazi Aslanov Army Ideological and Cultural Center and Secondary School No. 269.
At the events, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the sons of the Motherland martyred for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, was honored with a minute of silence, and the State Anthem was played.
Speakers spoke about the historical significance of the glorious Victory achieved for the liberation of our lands from occupation, the examples of bravery and courage shown by our martyrs in battles, and discussed their honorable life path.
Artistic compositions on military-patriotic themes were presented at the commemoration ceremonies.
Finally, the family members and relatives of the martyrs expressed their gratitude for the attention and care shown to them, as well as for the constant honoring of the memory of our martyrs, to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, and also to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
