As a result of a vehicle transporting displaced persons from the Dubeykir region to the city of Al-Rahad in North Kordofan state being targeted by the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, 24 people, including 8 children and several women, were killed. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals.
Modern.az reports that, according to the “Sudan Doctors Network”, the vehicle was carrying internally displaced persons fleeing from South Kordofan state and was attacked upon reaching the city of Al-Rahad.
For three years, Sudan has been experiencing the severe consequences of the war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces. This conflict has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of people, the displacement of millions, and the destruction of a large part of the country's health and education infrastructure.
