It is reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched counter-offensive operations on the border of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Modern.az reports that Russian military Telegram channels have disseminated information regarding this.
According to the information, Ukrainian forces are delivering counter-blows against the right flank of Russian troops in eastern Zaporizhzhia. It is noted that the attacks are being carried out from the direction of Pokrovske and Velyka Mykhailivka, with the aim of fragmenting Russian forces and reaching their rear positions.
Russian sources report that operations are being conducted in several directions. It is emphasized that the attacks began in foggy weather conditions, which facilitated bypassing positions and infiltration into the rear.
Although the Russian side claims that the attacks were repelled and Ukrainian infantry units were struck by drones, it simultaneously confirms that Ukrainian forces have entered the settlement of Ternovatoye. Fierce fighting is reportedly ongoing there. The Ukrainian command, however, had announced the complete control of this settlement just a day earlier. Germany's “Bild” publication, meanwhile, wrote that the neighboring village of Pridorozhnoye had also been liberated.
It is noted that the situation on the front is rapidly changing. The active coverage of the counter-offensive by Russian military channels is assessed as an indication that Moscow may deploy reserve forces to halt the Ukrainian advance in this direction.
