"Gallup" research company has announced that it will stop tracking the ratings of US presidents.

Modern.az reports that, according to the "New York Times" newspaper, "Gallup" has been publishing such ratings for 88 years.

"Gallup" spokesperson Justin McCarthy stated that this decision is part of the company's strategy to "focus more on urgent public issues and public policy surveys."

"We focus on providing data that informs and drives meaningful change," he said.

A "Gallup" official also noted that many other centers currently produce presidential ratings. Therefore, the company stated that "these surveys no longer represent an area where 'Gallup' can make its most significant contribution."

The monthly presidential ratings published by "Gallup" were widely used by the media as a reliable source of information about public sentiment.

"Gallup" published its last presidential survey in December 2025, reporting that Donald Trump's rating had fallen to 36%.

In 2015, "Gallup" also stopped publishing popularity ratings for presidential candidates during election campaigns.
