In 2025, the most common names given to newborns in Armenia were David (1113) and Nare (574).

The Modern.az website, citing Armenian media, reports that these names were the most popular not only in 2025, but also in 2023 and 2024.

In 2025, 15,246 girls and 16,796 boys were born in the country.

Top 10 most common names given to girls in 2025:

According to the data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the number of newborns is decreasing year by year. While 32,042 children (15,246 girls and 16,796 boys) were born in 2025, this figure was 33,375 children (16,034 girls and 17,341 boys) in 2024, and 36,265 children (17,213 girls and 19,052 boys) in 2023.
