Today, the third round of talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the USA will begin in Geneva, Switzerland.
Modern.az, citing Russian media, reports that talks on resolving the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv will be held on February 17 and 18.
The parties had previously met in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24 and February 4-5.
The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the discussions would be held behind closed doors.
The Russian delegation will be led by Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky. Also, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Admiral Igor Kostyukov, Head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff, will participate in the talks. In general, Russia's negotiating group consists of 15-20 people.
Ukraine will be represented by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Office, his deputy Serhiy Kyslytsya, Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and David Arakhamia, head of the ruling Servant of the People party faction.
The USA at the meeting is represented by Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner. They also participate in indirect talks in Geneva regarding Iran's nuclear deal.
