Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court has arrested former Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko for 60 days.
Modern.az reports that he can be released on bail of 200 million hryvnias (approximately 4.6 million dollars). Halushchenko stated his intention to file an appeal.
The former minister is accused of laundering funds of the “Energoatom” company, and it is reported that he could face a prison sentence of 7-12 years. On February 15, he was detained while attempting to leave Ukraine.
