Tomorrow, a joint exercise of Iranian and Russian naval forces will be held in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean.
Modern.az, referring to Iranian media, reports that the official responsible for the exercises, Rear Admiral Hassan Maqsoudlou, stated that the exercise aims to deepen friendly relations, enhance regional cooperation, prioritize neighboring countries, and strengthen the role of regional countries in ensuring maritime and navigation security.
Hassan Maqsoudlou also stated that the conduct of this exercise alongside other exercises of the Iranian Armed Forces demonstrates the importance both countries attach to the current developments in the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean and highlights the parties' commitment to strengthening cooperation in the maritime domain, opposing unilateralism, and supporting the security of maritime trade in the region.
