Vladislav Subbotenko, head of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine, was detained the other day with a large sum of money.
Modern.az reports that the official claimed to have found 653 thousand dollars in his deceased grandmother's garage.
He explained the origin of the funds to the anti-corruption agency as follows.
