The question of who will be the first woman on the "Civil Contract" party's election list has become a serious topic of discussion.
Modern.az reports, citing "Joğovurd", that Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan received the most votes among women in the preliminary elections.
The newspaper notes that Avanesyan, who recently joined the party, received more support than MP Arpi Davoyan and Armenia's former ambassador to the US, Lilit Makunts.
The party is currently awaiting a closed vote on March 27-28, which will determine the numbering of the list.
