The US military announced that it had struck a corvette belonging to the Iranian military in the Gulf of Oman and that the vessel had begun to sink.
Modern.az reports that in information disseminated on the social media account of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), a statement was made regarding the targeting of an Iranian naval vessel.
It was stated that an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette was targeted by US forces at the beginning of the attacks.
According to the information, the vessel is about to sink in the Gulf of Oman, near Chabahar Port, located in southeastern Iran.
In the statement, US President Donald Trump's remarks, “Iranian armed forces, Revolutionary Guards, and police officers must lay down their weapons,” were recalled, and those on board the vessel were urged, “Abandon ship.”
