US President Donald Trump stated that Iran's new leadership has declared its readiness for talks, and he has accepted this offer.
Modern.az reports that Trump spoke about this in an interview with “The Atlantic” magazine.
According to him, the Iranian side has indicated its desire to make contact, and talks will take place in the near future. Trump noted that Tehran should have taken this step earlier.
“They want to talk, and I have agreed. I will talk to them. They should have done this sooner. They could have taken the practical and easy step earlier. They are very late”, – Trump said in an interview from his residence in Florida.
