An assassination attempt against Iran's ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has failed.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Israeli intelligence has stated that the attempt to kill Ahmadinejad was most likely unsuccessful.
Although the news of his death spread yesterday, it has not been officially confirmed.
It should be noted that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was the 6th president of Iran. He is particularly known for his strict conservative policies, his stance on the nuclear program, and his critical position in relations with the West. Ahmadinejad, who holds significant influence in Iran's domestic politics and on strategic issues in the region, is considered one of the main targets by the US and Israel.
