Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of Georgia's ruling "Georgian Dream" party and Mayor of Tbilisi, who is in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, cannot return home due to the situation in Iran.
Modern.az reports that the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has released information on this matter.
Kaladze and his wife, designer Anuki Areshidze, visited the UAE last week. According to local media, the visit coincided with his birthday – turning 48 on February 27.
"The Mayor of Tbilisi was in Abu Dhabi on Saturday and Sunday. Due to the current situation, he is currently unable to return," the Mayor's office also stated.
It should be recalled that due to the war in Iran, flights to most destinations in the Middle East have been suspended.
