Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi regarding the neutralization of a ballistic missile launched from Iran towards Turkey.
Modern.az reports that, according to information from Turkey's "Hürriyet" newspaper, Fidan called on Iran to refrain from actions that could escalate the conflict.
Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defense had announced that a ballistic missile launched from Iran towards Turkey was neutralized by NATO air defense forces in the Mediterranean Sea.
Missile debris fell in the southern Hatay province.
