US President Donald Trump said that the Washington Administration wants a complete change of leadership in Iran.
According to Modern.az, the head of the White House announced in a phone interview with NBC that there are candidates for the Iranian leadership.
"We want to go to Iran and clean everything up," Trump emphasized.
The President later added: "We don't need someone who will fix everything in 10 years. We need a good leader."
The American leader refused to name specific individuals but stated that the US is looking at potential successors.
"I think we have several people who will do a good job. We are reviewing them. There are several people who, I think, can handle this job well. We are monitoring the situation, taking steps for their survival and safe exit from the war," the US President stated.
According to Trump, one of the main goals is to appoint a "reasonable person" to lead Iran.
