Kurdish forces in Iraq are preparing for a ground operation against Iran.
Modern.az reports that, Babashaykh Husseini, Secretary-General of the "Habat" party in Iraqi Kurdistan, stated in an interview with "Al Jazeera" that fighters from Iranian Kurdistan could conduct a ground operation in Iran.
According to him, currently no offensive operations are being conducted, but if favorable conditions arise, the probability of such an operation occurring remains high. A final decision has not yet been made.
Husseini also stated that US representatives have contacted them through various channels and intermediaries, and discussed possible cooperation and action options against the Iranian regime. He emphasized that Kurdish forces would need modern weapons and equipment for a possible operation, as their current weapons are outdated.
