Tehran will determine punishments within a specified period for those involved in the assassination of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Modern.az reports that Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, stated this on March 12.

"The decision regarding the punishment of those responsible for this crime will be made in Tehran at an appropriate time," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On February 28, the United States and Israel began launching large-scale airstrikes on Iran. Tel Aviv and Washington organized numerous attacks on military and civilian targets in Iran. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were hit. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed.

In response, Iran launched "True Promise IV" operation, striking American military bases in the Middle East and cities in Israel.
