The first address of Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been published following his election.
According to **Modern.az**, Khamenei did not address the public via television today, and his statement was read by an anchor.
The “Daily Mail” newspaper notes that this could be a possible indication of Khamenei's critical condition. According to a source of the newspaper in Tehran, he is being kept in a coma in the intensive care unit of Sina University Hospital, located in the historical part of the capital.
According to the information, a part of the hospital has been closed for security reasons, and the area is guarded by special service employees. It is not yet precisely known whether Mojtaba Khamenei was injured during the airstrikes that killed his father.
However, "The Sun" newspaper has come forward with a different claim. Citing the publication's sources, it reports that Mojtaba Khamenei sustained serious injuries as a result of an airstrike, and one or both of his legs have been amputated. It is stated that he also suffered severe internal injuries, probable traumas such as a liver or stomach rupture, and is in a coma.
It should be noted that this information has not yet been officially confirmed, and Iranian officials have not issued a statement regarding the incident.
It should be recalled that Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since the start of the war.
