White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt demanded ABC News delete a report claiming the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warned California police about Iranian drone attacks.
Modern.az reports that she wrote on the X social media platform: "This report must be immediately deleted by ABC News."
According to the White House official, they presented false information aimed at frightening American citizens. She noted that the material was based on unconfirmed information.
Leavitt also emphasized that such a threat from Iran against the US does not exist and has never existed.
The FBI refused to comment on media reports about California police departments being warned about possible Iranian drone attacks. ABC reported that the agency issued a bulletin discussing a possible Iranian drone attack on the US West Coast.
