A US aircraft crashed in western Iraq.
Modern.az reports that, according to information from the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the incident occurred in western Iraq "in friendly airspace."
However, an Iranian-backed armed group claimed to have shot down the aircraft.
The Iranian-backed Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) group claimed to have shot down the aircraft "for the defense of our country's sovereignty and airspace."
According to information, there were 6 military personnel on board the crashed aircraft. It is not known whether they are alive.
