Sweden's Embassy in Iran Relocated to Baku

Sweden has evacuated its diplomats from Iran, and the diplomatic mission continues its activities in Baku.

According to Modern.az, Sweden's Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard wrote about this on her "X" account.

"Considering the deteriorating security situation in Iran, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs has decided to temporarily relocate Swedish staff from the embassy in Tehran. The embassy continues its work from Baku. The security situation in Tehran remains extremely uncertain. The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs has advised against all travel to Iran since 2022 and urges Swedish citizens to leave the country", the minister noted.
