The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the 12th anniversary of Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea.
Modern.az, referring to foreign media, reports that, according to the statement, on the 12th anniversary of the illegal annexation of Crimea, carried out by Russia as a result of an illegitimate referendum, Turkey once again declares that it does not recognize this fact.
“We once again confirm that we do not recognize this fact, which is contrary to international law,” the statement emphasized.
It was noted that Turkey, which consistently supports Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, will continue to closely monitor the developments in the peninsula, primarily the situation of the Crimean Tatars, and will keep this issue on its agenda.
