It was reported that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent provided information on this matter.
According to Bessent, this decision could redirect Iranian oil to markets outside China, including Europe. He also noted that Washington might consider releasing additional oil from its strategic reserves.
The minister emphasized that the US does not intervene in oil markets and has no plans to do so.
