French naval forces have seized a tanker named "Deyna" belonging to Russia's "shadow fleet" in the Mediterranean Sea.
Modern.az reports that French President Emmanuel Macron stated this.
"These vessels, violating maritime laws by circumventing international sanctions, are used to profit from the war. They seek to accumulate profits and finance Russia's military efforts. And we will not stand idly by," Macron said.
He added that the war in Iran will not prevent France from supporting Ukraine, where Russia's aggressive war continues.
According to the BBC, the tanker flying under the Mozambican flag departed from Murmansk port and was detained on suspicion of carrying a false flag.
