Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement that would cause controversy at a press conference held yesterday.
Modern.az reports that he stated that Jesus Christ, the prophet of Christianity, had no superiority over the Mongol emperor Genghis Khan.
"If you are strong, ruthless, and powerful enough, evil will triumph over good"," the Israeli Prime Minister said.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reacted to Netanyahu's speech.
"Netanyahu's open hatred towards Jesus Christ, given his dependence on the goodwill of Christians in the US, is astonishing. His unrestrained praise for Genghis Khan, the cruelest executioner our region has ever seen, is also consistent with his current status as a war criminal"," the Iranian Foreign Minister said.
