Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered a speech on the occasion of the New Year (Nowruz) in his country.
Modern.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Pezeshkian noted, “this year, two blessed events coincided for us: Nowruz and Eid al-Fitr.”
"Our belief is to serve humanity, help those in need, and support anyone who is ill. However, our enemies portray us as culprits in the world with their words, actions, and propaganda," President Pezeshkian emphasized in his message to the world.
“We have never pursued nuclear weapons. When we appeared before the Supreme Leader, he explicitly and unequivocally stated that nuclear weapons are religiously forbidden.
No official in the Islamic Republic of Iran can advocate for or promote the development of nuclear weapons of mass destruction. However, the US president creates an impression in the world that we are pursuing nuclear weapons and intend to commit mass destruction.
Unfortunately, the world media accepts these lies,” the President noted.
Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran has proposed to Middle Eastern countries to create their own formats for ensuring regional security with their participation.
“We are ready to solve all problems together with you. We propose creating a Middle East security format that will also involve Islamic countries to ensure peace, stability, and security,” Pezeshkian said.
He added that Middle Eastern countries do not need foreigners to be present in their regions.
