Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has once again drawn attention with a video he shared.
Modern.az reports that the Prime Minister, preparing for the June 7 elections, is trying to gain the favor of citizens with his unusual actions on the bus during his domestic visits.
This time, Nikol Pashinyan was filmed on a bus eating boiled potatoes with Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan. The video shows that the hot boiled potatoes almost burned his hand. In any case, Pashinyan creates such an image.
The video shared by the Prime Minister on social media under the title “Potato Eaters” has garnered considerable positive reactions.
It should be noted that the Armenian Prime Minister had previously made such carefree posts amidst the Iran-Israel-US war and other geopolitical processes. Pashinyan had previously come to public attention for eating corn, pirojki, sujuk, lavash, and pickled wraps on a bus during his domestic visits, playing the drums during a visit to Georgia, and sharing a video of himself eating an apple while in France, and these actions were not met with an unambiguous reception.
Pashinyan's actions are often evaluated as role-playing, or PR for his political image. Some, however, believe that this is his natural character.
In short, Pashinyan appears more like a social media phenomenon than a Prime Minister from the outside.
